Hyperspace is a very small Indie Games Developer based near Cardiff in the UK. The Dambusters is our first App and we hope you like it.

We'd like to thank all our Test Pilots and supporters of the project. The Dambusters was released on the 17th May 2012 and updated for Dambuster 70 anniversary 16th - 17th May 2013

Quote from the current Wg Cdr of 617 Sqn:

OC 617

I consider myself extremely fortunate to be in command of a Royal Air Force squadron. For that squadron to be flying Tornado GR4, and for it to have such a glorious and distinguished history as 617 Squadron, puts me in a truly enviable position. To be able to follow in the footsteps of Gibson, Cheshire and all the other men who have had the honour to command the Dambusters is a great privilege indeed. The history of hard work, innovative and skilled bombing, and great precision in using force, is one that we continue to contribute to today in our operations over Afghanistan.

This anniversary application commemorates the skill, valour and mettle of those who have been proud to wear the name badge of a Dambuster, and you can rest assured that today’s generation of Dambusters go about their work with the pride, steely determination and esprit de corps of those who have gone before.

The Dambusters App offers an exciting way for all generations to learn more about the tenacious and daring raid undertaken by members of 617 Sqn.

Quote from Battle of Britain Memorial Flight:

The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight takes great pride in acting as the national focus for remembrance of the bravery and sacrifice by members of the Service, including those involved on the Dambuster Raid in May 1943.

The Dambusters App offers an exciting way for all generations to learn more about the tenacious and daring raid undertaken by members of 617 Sqn.

Quote from the previous Wg Cdr of 617 Sqn:

The Dambusters App offers an authentic experience that gives people an opportunity to interact with the legendary Operation Chastise raid.

The raid, performed by the forebears of my Squadron, was conducted by 19 Lancaster bombers to attack the Möhne, Eder and Sorpe dams, using Barnes Wallis’ revolutionary bouncing bomb, in May 1943.

The daring and innovative nature of the operation has earned 617 Squadron a unique place in history.

I can't put this down. Very addictive and has captured the feel and atmosphere of a night bombing raid (with a twist)! Well done guys. keep em coming! Nice work.

Canada: Freaking Amazing!!!! ★★★★★ by D.B.Walker - Version 1.0 - Jun 8, 2012

Congratulations to creating a stellar app with history and great controls. My ID is a riff on Diana Barnato Walker MBE, and I am a total fan girl now of your work. The music from the movie and the Wing Commander's voice add huge depth and are terrific. (I highly reccommend the Battle of Britian app if you collect and play this type of game). Could you guys do a Pathfinders app with the legendary De Haviland Mosqito? With combined fighter/bomber missions? In 2009 I saw VR-A KB726 flying east-west along Dundas street in Toronto after a refit and cried my eyes out. Check out YT for some great video of the Mynarski Memorial Lancaster flying over Niagara Falls Ontario. The Few.

I'm a Dambusters geek. Was very wary of this app, but it is fabulous. Currently still on the Easy level and am loving learning as I go. Blown up Mohne and Eder, not managed Soper, but then again, neither did Gibson. Very very addictive. Easy to learn, simple low flying required...probably not one for 'serious gamers' but great fun and tells the kids the story. Just waiting for the 'Goner' and 'N/Digger' updates. Only complaint, voice over not 'pukka' enough.

Great app and very challenging ★★★★★ by ChrisF-Chip - Version 1.0 - Jun 7, 2012

I have settled for running easy level and love this game. When I'm feeling confident ill give hard a go, but it's an addictive game and brilliant to end the day in the tube bus and train.

This is my first review, I have quite a few games and have come to realise that the good ones are all pretty much a similar standard. So I haven't felt the need to write a review; Until now. Dambusters scores 5 Stars on every level. The attention to detail could only have come from a team who really wanted to excel. Well done and thank you Hyperspace Ltd and I will be waiting for your next winner.

There's a real tension as you approach the right spot to drop the bomb. This app teaches you the value of staying calm... very addictive!

Direct hit! ★★★★★ by Tim3822 - Version 1.0 - May 27, 2012

Really impressed by this game. Attention to detail is excellent and really puts you in the pilots seat. Can seem to put it down trying to blow the Sorpe dam on extreme is rather tricky! Being a pilot myself I can't begin to think how they must have felt with all that AAA zipping passed. The manual is great, most concise one I've seen in a while that includes the big budget AAA titles. In all I advise anyone to get this if for nothing more than a history lesson! Hope to see more games from this developer, maybe the Operation Jericho?

Fab! ★★★★★ by Bouncy Bomber - Version 1.0 - May 26, 2012

A great game! But be warned - with its excellent graphics and music its very addictive. A lot of thought and effort has gone into producing this game, the quality is amazing, and it's an app! Eleven out of ten.

Mr gibson ★★★★★ by scousewarrior - Version 1.0 - May 25, 2012

Best game I've played. Its a British game through an through. Am hooked brought up on the movie as a kid. This takes me back. And shows how hard it must of been to get there and get back in 1943.

Dambuster heaven ★★★★★ by 1234queenie - Version 1.0 - May 24, 2012

If you have any interest in Military Aircraft of WWII or just think you would like to smash the "Dams" you have to try this! Realistic flight through the terrain approach to the dams. Plenty of skill levels just incase you think your getting too good! Excellent - 5 star!!

Tally ho ★★★★★ by Mikeyb001_0 - Version 1.0 - May 20, 2012

We've had loads of fun with this app, my kids are fascinated by the story now. The detail is amazing, the music and feel of the control really get the hairs on the back of your neck standing on end. You feel like you're there. This one of the best apps in the AppStore for detail and controls (flying a Lancaster bomber by tilting your phone is fantastic). You and your family will love it and the kids can learn something too. Well done.

Chocks away! ★★★★★ by Spankthemonkey - Version 1.0 - May 19, 2012

There is a really good atmosphere 2 this game and it feels like a heavy lumbering bomber. PTN can we have a option 2 be able 2 move the bomb release button 2 the other side of the screen? And how about 4 future updates adding the tirpitz mission?

The Dambusters ★★★★★ by CookieAb - Version 1.0 - May 19, 2012
